VERY FAIR SKIN-
With silvery blond hair needs the greatest possible care in make up. The skin tends to be delicate, often very sensitive and dry and must always be protected from the sun. Moisturizer is essential at all times and should always be used under foundation. Only the lightest foundation is needed to achieve smooth creamy texture which is the first step to porcelain pink-and-white looks; alternatively gel make-up gives a tinge of honey color that is very attractive but almost impossible to acquire safely from the sun. a light hand is the golden rule for fair good looks, experiment with almost any color you like but stick to the lightest shades. The prettiest natural look for daytime is to make the most of the eyes, shadowing them in neutral colors that blend with the eyes, intensifying with kohl and mascara, shining lips with gloss and just a hint of blush.
NATURL BLONDES.
Natural blondes and particularly dark blondes, often have a lot of red in their hair color; their skin tends to burn easily and freckle. Like redheads. But they can take stronger colors than the very fair and have more choice than red heads. They are often considered the lucky ones, any color looks good on them. However, their skin is likely to be on the dry side and they should be careful using strong colors as their make-up should never be harsh. It’s easy to look washed-out wearing bright colors, but if you‘re fair-skinned and blond, be careful not to look over made-up. Choose a light-textured foundation (which allows your skin to show through) in a shade nearest your skin tone (test on the side of your jaw and choose in good daylight). Smoky colors plum grey, green, blue look good around the eyes; use a pink to plum blusher and true pink or real red lipsticks.
DARK SKINS.
Girls with dark skins and dark brown or black hair often complain their skins are greasy and their make-up too shiny. This normally begins to disappear in their thirties, but then the danger is that the skin often goes very dry and, if neglected or not cleaned meticulously, may develop a grey or ashy look.
Dry skins need little or no tinted foundation or powder as they usually have natural bloom and good all-over tone, but, if patchy, make-up can help to even out the tone; often a gel-bronze foundation are not usually flattering and cool brown and earthy shades are best and the gel or liquid varieties rather than stick or cream are usually most satisfactory. Blushers in brick or wine shades (it’s usually better to avoid light pink or red) and lipsticks in earth tones or wine are most becoming. Girls with the lighter types of brown skin can look wonderful with the brilliance of a true red r cyclamen pink. Pearlized lipsticks are inclined to make mouth look larger; well defined mouths usually look best with a minimum of color, just glossed.

When forty starts approaching many women panic. T hey start rushing off to plastic surgeons to discuss face lifts only to be told they are much too young and not to return for several years. Forty is not the beginning of the end; a few lines certainly don’t mean the whole face is disintegrating and a bit of overweight can be removed, even though it may take longer. All that is really needed is a beauty reassessment, a rethink of makeup, hair style and color.

In order to maintain energy, healthy hair and skin, more attention must be paid to exercise and diet. The effects of years of careless diet and body neglect will start to show in thirties; from then on weight control is much harder and it takes more effort and longer to improve skin and hair health.

The body needs more help to function efficiently; the skin is beginning to lose its elasticity, hair may lose its color and texture and make up needs a different approach. Around forty is when many women who have never had skin problem in their lives discover the distress of specific forms of acne, psoriasis, blackheads, whiteheads and enlarged pores. Brown spots can appear and don’t disappear. Skin color can change or go patchy and this discoloration is often due to sluggish circulation, exercise or a brisk walk will improve the tone and soft cream or fluid foundation in the correct shade will do the rest. If there are broken veins or blemishes to hide, use a camouflage cream or stick. Aim to look well, rather than slavishly using the latest fashion colors to look trendy.

A light hand with make up is essential, heavy make up is ageing, as are dark colors and hard lines. Choose a foundation to improve your natural tone perhaps with a little extra pink or peach in it. Avoid cool beiges unless you have a naturally high color, in which case a mud beige will act as camouflage and try a green tinted moisturizer underneath. Skin shouldn’t look too powdered or shine too much, although this is unlikely as most skins dry out as they get older. Too matt a finish looks lifeless, so be particularly careful not to use powdery make up or powder under the eyes or on the area of the brow bone. Powder sinks into every slight imperfection, is bad for delicate skin and makes the eyes look lifeless. Use translucent powder.

A neutral color or just a shade lighter than your foundation and fluff it on very lightly with a puff. Be careful on lines running from nose to mouth. They are the first place foundation and powder sink into, giving a tired impression. Use blusher sparingly. I f it is very well blended it is flattering, but beware of adding to an already high skin tone and looking feverish. Beware of iridescent eye make up, shine can emphasize the smallest blemish and avoid very bright colors.

Eyebrows need to be kept trim, neither too thin nor too prominent. If your eyelids tend to drop at the outer corner, keep eye liner and shadow ‘lifted’, with slightly more depth of shadow towards the temple. Cream your lips at night to keep them soft and blot carefully before putting on lipstick. If the mouth tends to drop at the corner, extend the outline of the lower lip upwards and don’t take the color on the top lip all the way into the corner.

Use liner on your lips as a base. Lipstick will last longer if you fill in your lips with the liner first. If you’re using light lipstick, try a nude liner. Then slick your lipstick on top.

Lip gloss is infamous for wearing off fast, but if you fill in lips first with the liner, the gloss has something to stick to.

You can line before or after you apply lipstick or gloss. Some women prefer to apply liner first, arguing that you won’t be able to see the natural line of your lips if you apply lipstick first. But I find lips look more natural when I line lips after I apply lipstick.

Never use a dark liner with light lipstick.Defined lips are great, but make sure the liner matches the lipstick or gloss. Dark liner and light lips is tacky.

Keep lipstick off your teeth with this trick. After applying lipstick, take your index finger and pop it in your mouth, then pull it out. The excess lipstick will come off on your finger rather than your teeth. Not all lipstick shades look good on everyone.Your skin color will determine what shades are right on you. You may like a lipstick on your friend, but it may not look good on you. Orange or brown shades, including corals, look good on few people. These shades tend to make teeth appear yellow.

How to Apply Lipstick Without a Mirror. Open your mouth. While your mouth is open, use your dominant hand to position the lipstick so it’s in the center of the bow of your upper lip. Put one of the fingers of your free hand above the lipstick as a guide.

Draw a half heart from the tip of the bow, then trace the top of your lip to the edge our mouth while using your guiding fingertip to keep the makeup in place. Repeat this procedure on the other side of your top lip.

Next, place the lipstick in the center of your bottom lip. Trace the lipstick to the edge of your bottom lip. Repeat for the other side of your bottom lip. If you have a drooping mouth: powder the corners and emphasise the dip at the center. Put a touch of a darker lipstick at the corners of the upper lip; Finish off with the slightest trace of vaseline or gloss at the center of the mouth. Lipstick will last longer if you fill in your lips with the liner first. If you’re using light lipstick, try a nude liner. Then slick your lipstick on top.

If your mouth is too small: use a darker shade on the upper lip, draw in the cleft but don’t accentuate it. The lower lip should be given a squarer shape, with a touch of gloss or vaseline near the corners. Apply lipstick from the tube or by using a firm, small lipstick brush. Coat the lips evenly. Pay special attention to staying within the lips’ edges.

If your lips are too thin: outline the mouth well and fully, going a fraction beyond the limits of the lips. Use the darker shade on the lower lip. Draw the corners upwards, outline the cleft distinctly and smile all day. To balance the appearance of your lips while lining (before applying lipstick), first, divide the mouth into sections, and work on one section at a time until all the dotted lines are connected. And be aware that matte colors make lips look thinner while shimmery, glossy colors make your lips look fuller.

The best thing you can do for your skin is to take care of it and treat it as a finest piece of silk. One of the basic things in makeup is the finding of the right foundation. The process of putting the makeup must start with the clean skin.

Most of the Asian, Caucasians, African and Latin women have the yellow base so to be looking natural they need to use foundations with yellow base.

Use loose powder to set makeup and use compact powder for easy touchups. A perfect makeup bag should contain foundation, cream blush, lipsticks, mirror, tiny comb, eyebrow pencil, astringent, tweezers, Vitamin E stick, atomizer of perfume and saline solution.

Eye Makeup Tips

Eyes are the first thing that we notice when we meet with each other. Eye makeup involves complex steps. With the correct use of the eye shadows, eyes can open up and has depth in them. Women with the small eyes should keep the color on the eyelid itself light but should use darker shade on the crease of eyelid and they can use highlight under the brow.

Women with large eyes should wear dark color on the eyelid and use the flat color of highlight under the brow. Women with the round eyes can use one shade all over the eyelid and extend it to the outer corner it will make the eyes to look bigger.

For oriental eyes use the light shadow on the inner half of the lid and dark shade to the outer half. By using the mascara on the eyelashes, the eyes seem brighter and the color of the mascara should complement the color of the skin.

Blusher Applying Techniques

When we arouse, excited, active or are in anger the blood vessels in the face area gets enlarged and allows greater amount of blood to flow in the skin area and the result of it is the flushed face. There are many types of blushers are available but powder blushers are more popular.

Powder blushers are easier to apply and in the humid and warm weather they are easier to use on the face. Blusher should not have a harsh effect on the face. Apply blusher upward and downward towards the middle of your ear. Highlight the cheek bones by using the lighter color. For the sallow skin brown and organic tones should not be used and coral, pink, rose and russet can be used.

Mineral Makeup Tips

Mineral makeup is actually made up of mineral elements such as iron oxides, zinc oxide, and bismuth oxychloride etc. These minerals have silky touch and provide long lasting coverage, lightweight natural feel the mineral makeup is suitable for almost all skin types. Mineral make provide the protective barrier to your skin from the outer atmospheric effects. Among the other best qualities of the mineral makeup they are fragrance free, talc free and dye free.

Waterproof Makeup

When you are exposed to heat and moisture then your eye makeup can be affected in these atmospheric conditions. The weather affects the staying power of the makeup in the humid and warm conditions and the excessive exposure to the sun. Waterproof mascara and makeup should be used when your goal is to apply the eye makeup for longer time.

A beautifully and expertly made up face should be so subtle that only you should know the artistry that went in to producing it. Tie your hair back and look at your self from all angles using a hand mirror and large wall mirror. Study your face, it ` s good and it `s bad point. Can you identify your face shape? Is it round or long, square or heart shaped or oval? Even the most ordinary face can light up with beauty and charm and with right techniques.

But first you need to prime your canvas. First clean your hands and face and moisten your face and your neck with some tepid water because applying moisturizer on damp skin seals in the water.

Now put a small amount of moisturizer on your finger tips and gently pat it at various spots on your face. Do n` t pull and stretch the skin. Smooth on the moisturizer softly and carefully. Now your skin is clean, moisturized and protected from the elements. After that put a dab of concealer under your eyes, and blend well. Never stretch the skin under the eyes. It will stretch with time by it self pat gently at all times. A

NATURAL FINISHING WITH FOUNDATION- After the use of moisturizer and concealer the first essential thing is a suitable foundation. A foundation evens out your skin colour, hides blemishes and can be as natural or camouflaging as you choose.

When you make your choice, consider your basic skin shade. To apply foundation use your finger tips dotting the base all over your face first, before smoothing in. A dampened cosmetic sponge is best to blend foundation to give an even natural finish. It should look clean and natural not caked and heavy. Disguise a protruding eye bag using a foundation one shade darker and blend in around edges. We can narrow a nose that is too broad at the bridge or base by drawing triangles of about three shades deeper than your skin tone on either side of the wide area.

A nose that is slightly crooked can be straightened by applying a darker toned foundation along the crooked side and a lighter one on the other side. To lift a heavy jaw a darker foundation in a long triangle just above the weighty part and blending it into the lighter more natural shade on the face and neck. For all corrections remember that lighter colours usually emphasize darker colours make things diminish.

BLUSH WITH BLUSHER – Now it ` s time for the blusher. Nearly every kind of complexion needs a blusher of some kind even the rosiest. Apply blusher on your cheek cushion, blending away toward the sides of the face and the temples. You can also use a blusher for facial sculpting to balance your features with light and shade. To make your self look less round shaped face use a brown shade of blusher under cheek bones, blending out towards the ears. The more shading you will probably need at the sides. Make the blusher disappear into the jaw line. Use a light colour shade on the top of the cheek bones. Blending it out toward the temple.

This style will prominent the bone structure. For long face- A touch of high light high on cheek bones give more width to face. Fading away toward hair line place pinky blusher center of cheeks and fade away to temples. Shade away an angular line by blending a little along the line of the jaw. For square face soften the angles by applying blusher shade underneath your cheek bones and continue it down on the jaw line, blending away the edges.

POWDER pick up your translucent powder which is loose and applied with large brush, the purpose of using powder is to set your make up. it may seems as if applying the powder you will be messing up what you have carefully applied but this is not so powder really fixes it in place and does not log your skin. Apply it liberally on your face, sparingly on an elder one. If the skin is dry the powder should be whisked on lightly with a powder puff or broad soft brush. Remove any excess with a brush. If the skin is oily, powder will help to counter act ` shine` , but it must be applied firmly. Take it across forehead, down center panel of face and across the chin, pressing in well and releasing as you go.

MAKE YOUR EYES TO DYE FOR- Now keep an eye open for the latest eye make up tricks and ways to apply eye shadow. If you have sensitive eyes that blink a lot, try using a hand mirror and look down into it. Before making up eyes check that foundation is smooth, dark rings are camouflaged and all powder is settled. Attend to the eye brows. Check them first for length, thin it if necessary and brush up wards for an instant wide awake look. Don `t make mistake of having brows too short or sloping off up ward, giving you a surprised expression, to determine where they should start and finish. Hold a pencil against the side of your nose. The point will indicate the start. Then swing the pencil in an arc to the outer corner of the eye. The point will indicate the end of the brow. Brush brows in to shape before plucking out stray hairs from underneath the brows and from between the brows.
